How micro-credentials in Communication Management can improve your workforce

Study From Work provides workplaces all over New Zealand with the option to earn an NZQA-accredited micro-credential to upskill promising employees.

There are currently four courses available for employees, each of which focuses on a different subject area. Learners can earn these micro-credentials entirely online whenever it suits them, all with the support of our professional ITC team.

One of the four options is Communication Management, a skill that could benefit just about any employee in almost any role.

What will employees learn with our Communication Management micro-credential?

This course is comprised of two key sections.

In the first section, learners will cover a range of verbal and non-verbal communication skills in a business environment, as well as managing business communications, and communication processes and standards.

In the second section, learners will cover the identification and analysis of cross-cultural communication issues, techniques for managing diversity, and presentation skills.

How these skills can benefit your business

As workplaces are increasingly diverse, having leadership on the team who are adept at professional communication is vital.

Not only is communication essential within the team and between departments, it’s also incredibly important when dealing with customers.

Leaders who excel in these areas can help to improve communication, and therefore relationships amongst workmates. Ideally, other employees will pick up on those exemplary communication techniques to use in their own work.

Roles that can benefit the most from Communication Management training

Communication is a universal soft skill, and even those who are already strong in this area could further improve their skills. As such, earning a micro-credential in Communication Management could benefit just about any role in any industry.
